Web Review Guidelines
The web is a massive and confusing place, and one of Flak Magazine's missions is to provide readers with some starting points for navigating its complicated currents of information. By reviewing sites such as Career Path, Old Man Murray and Hobby Link Japan, Flak provides readers with new sites to visit, and new perspective on what makes good (or bad) web content.
As per usual, humor value is balanced with the utile nature of the site to be reviewed. The best sites for review are extremely amusing and very useful to an intelligent college student. Suitable sites for a review are either of the above; since Flak's mission involves entertainment as well as utility, you have the freedom to find an appropriate balance between the two.
A good web review talks about the structure of the site, the quality and amount of content it contains, and a comparison with other sites that do similar things, if any exist. If you've any questions about the suitability of a site you'd like to review, email the web editor.
Also, make sure you include a scan for your review. 150X150 pixels is the proper size, 100dpi is a good resolution, and .jpg (JPEG) is the correct format. If you have difficulty obtaining an image to accompany your review, please contact your editor, James Norton.
